National Cadet Corps (NCC) National Cadet Corps (NCC) –
The NCC wing of the college ensures the availability of every kind of facility to students. The NCC certification helps in securing good jobs. C certification in NCC enables student to sit in army Commission exam. The importance of B certificate
can also not be ignored. NCC instills leadership qualities among students. Every year students go to different cities and states of India to attend NCC camps.
“Unity and Discipline”
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) at Public College Samana aims to nurture disciplined, patriotic, and service-oriented citizens. As a premier youth organization under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, the NCC offers our students a
platform to develop leadership qualities, physical fitness, and a deep sense of civic responsibility.
Objectives
– To develop character, comradeship, discipline, and a secular outlook.
– To instill a spirit of adventure, leadership, and selfless service.
– To prepare youth to take up careers in the Armed Forces and other fields.
– To foster the spirit of unity, national integration, and social service.
Training and Activities
Cadets undergo a variety of training programs that include:
– Drill and Physical Training
– Weapon Training
– Map Reading and Field Craft
– Social Service and Community Development
– Adventure Camps and Trekking
– Annual Training Camps (ATC), Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC), and
Republic Day Camp (RDC)
NCC Achievements
The NCC Unit of Public College Samana takes immense pride in the active participation and accomplishments of its cadets.
Our cadets have consistently demonstrated excellence in training, camps, and national-level events.
Highlights of Achievements (Year 2024-25):
1. Certificate Holders
A total of 11 cadets earned the prestigious ‘C’ Certificate, including 5 boys and 6 girls.
– 15 cadets successfully passed the ‘B’ Certificate exam conducted at Khalsa College, Patiala.
2. Camp Participation
– All NCC cadets attended the NCC Camp held at Ropar.
– 1 Female cadet attended Trekking Adventure camp at Patiala.
– 2 Female cadets attended Pre-RDC Camp Held at Ropar NCC Academy.
3. Parade Attendance
– All NCC cadets took part in Independence Day Parade (15 th Aug,2024 )
– All NCC cadets took part in Republic Day Parade (26 th Jan,2025 )
Eligibility and Enrollment
– Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate students.
– Duration: 3-year program with ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate examinations conducted by NCC.
