Public College, the premier-most institute of higher learning, was established with the motivation of Sh. S.L. Kapoor, I.A.S. the then Deputy Commissioner of Patiala in 1969. Under his Chairmanship, the college started providing excellent services in the field of higher education in this predominantly rural and backward area in the district of Patiala. This multi-faculty co-educational college fulfils the educational needs of about hundred villages around Samana in a radius of more than 35 kilometers and is built in a pollution free environment with sprawling green lawns.
